In short
- No account needed: Fajry never asks for your name, email or password.
- No ads, no tracking tools. We never sell any data.
- Your settings, prayer times and streaks stay on your iPhone.
Who publishes Fajry
Fajry is published by Chino Group LLC, a company registered in the State of Wyoming (USA), 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. For any question about your data: contact@thechinogroup.com.
Your location
If you allow it, Fajry uses your location to calculate prayer times. It is first rounded to about one kilometre, then sent to the Aladhan service, which returns the month's prayer times. If you choose your city manually, the search goes through Apple's maps service, and the city name may be sent to the Base Adresse Nationale (a French public service) or to Aladhan to find its coordinates. Your location is never sent to any Chino Group LLC server: it stays stored on your iPhone.
The camera
The camera only opens while you scan your sink to stop the alarm. The image is analysed directly on your iPhone by Apple's image recognition: it is never saved or sent.
Alarms
Alarms are scheduled by iOS on your iPhone. Their times and your wake-up history (your streaks) are stored on the device and are deleted if you uninstall the app.
Subscriptions
Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never have access to your payment details; the app only receives your subscription status (active or not) to unlock its features.
Third-party services
Fajry uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. To work, the app relies on:
- Aladhan (aladhan.com) : calculates prayer times from your rounded location or your city.
- Base Adresse Nationale (adresse.data.gouv.fr) : finds your city's coordinates.
- Apple : alarms, city search, sink scan image analysis, payments and subscriptions.
As with any website, these services also receive your connection's IP address when they respond to a request.
This website
fajryapp.com sets no cookies and uses no audience measurement tools. Like any host, its hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested) to run and secure the service. It only remembers your language choice in your browser.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete data about you by writing to the address above. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France (cnil.fr) or the ICO in the UK (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its update date.
